Add mechanics or docs reference to backward compatibility for A/B tests for custom paywall

I have pawalls builded in my app, and want to add new ones, but for such logic I should write custom handler for extra paywalls by remote config variation to control UI - and for previous app versions users won’t see new paywall - then they should see a fallback without logShowPaywall or we need custom mechanism to handle this

    For your case, there are a few approaches depending on how you want to handle new paywalls alongside older app versions:

    1. Use Paywall Builder (recommended)
      By creating new paywalls with Adapty’s no-code Paywall Builder, you can add them without writing custom handlers. The SDK handles rendering automatically. Your existing native paywalls stay as is, and new ones come from the builder.

    2. Fallback for older app versions
      Adapty already supports fallback paywalls. You can bundle a fallback paywall in the app, so users on older versions will see it if the new paywall isn’t available.

    3. App version segmentation
      You can set an audience rule on your placement based on app version. For example:

      • App Version >= 2.5 → show new paywall

      • App Version < 2.5 → show old paywall
        This way, older versions never receive unsupported paywalls, and you don’t need a custom fallback mechanism.

    4. logShowPaywall
      For Paywall Builder paywalls, the SDK tracks impressions automatically, you don’t need to call logShowPaywall. For native paywalls, including fallback ones, you should call it to ensure analytics are accurate.

    The cleanest solution is to create new paywalls in Paywall Builder and combine with app version segmentation to control which users see which paywalls.
